KOL vs RR Dream11 Prediction and Match Preview: 54th Match, Dream11 IPL 2020

KOL vs RR Dream11 Team Prediction | 54th Match | Dream11 IPL 2020

Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Rajasthan Royals in the 54th Match of Dream11 IPL 2020 at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai. We will provide KOL vs RR Dream11 Prediction, Probable Playing XI, and Dream11 Tips.

Kolkata Knight Riders:

Kolkata Knight Riders are in a tricky situation as they are currently at the 6th position on the points table with 6 wins and seven losses and a total of 12 points.

There are many good players in the team, and there is a perfect mix of young uncapped and International players. Despite having such a good squad, KKR hasn’t been able to perform well. Shubman Gill has been scoring consistently at the top, but he has been very slow in his approach.

Nitish Rana is opening the innings for the last few matches and has been doing an excellent job as he scored over 80 runs twice in just three games. The batting order from No.3 has been changed by KKR in every match depending upon the situation.

Either Narine or Dinesh Karthik have been sent up the order depending upon the situation of the match, but DK has been more successful as the finisher. In some games, Rahul Tripathi was also tried at No.3. Eoin Morgan has appeared to be taken up the role of the finisher in this season.

The injury of Andre Russell has been a significant disadvantage for KKR as they lost a brilliant allrounder. Ferguson, who was brilliant in the first couple of matches hasn’t been able to pick up wickets consistently after that, and the struggle for Cummins to pick wickets has been throughout the season.

Varun Chakravarthy has been the only consistent player who has picked up wickets consistently in every match. The youngsters Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, and Prasidh Krishna have done a decent job but have not been consistent.

It is the final match for Knight Riders this season, and they need to win this match and that too with a reasonable run rate to keep their hopes for the playoffs alive.

  • Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana are likely to open the innings for KKR.
  • The middle-order consists of Rahul Tripathi, Dinesh Karthik, and skipper Eoin Morgan.
  • Sunil Narine and Pat Cummins will be crucial in the lower middle order.
  • Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine will handle the spin attack of the team.
  • The pace attack will be Pat Cummins, Kamlesh Nagarkoti/Prasidh Krishna, and Lockie Ferguson.

Rajasthan Royals:

Rajasthan Royals are also in a confusing position this season as they are currently at the 5th position on the points table with six wins and seven losses and 12 points.

Ben Stokes is looking back in form with a hundred and a fifty in back-to-back matches. He has been accompanied by Uthappa who has been doing a decent job as an opener. Sanju Samson at No.3 is looking quite comfortable as he played very well in the last couple of matches.

In the middle-order, Steven Smith has played a crucial role but has looked a little slow with his approach, but that hasn’t affected the team much because of the other batsman Jos Buttler who is looking in tremendous form and has been smacking the ball all around the park.

Riyan Parag along with Rahul Tewatia has done an excellent job in the lower-order and has also taken RR over the finishing line on a few occasions. Jofra Archer can also play some big shots down the order if required.

The bowling needs to get better for RR if they want to qualify for playoffs and also win further matches. Jofra Archer has been brilliant with the balls and consistently picking up wickets in every game. But he hasn’t got the same support from other bowlers.

The youngster Kartik Tyagi has been bowling well and managed to pick wickets, but due to lack of experience, he has been giving away a lot of runs. Unadkat, Varun Aaron, and Ankit Rajpoot have been rotated for different matches, but they haven’t been effective.

Shreyas Gopal and Rahul Tewatia have been doing a decent job, but they need to pick up wickets in middle overs so that the other bowlers can control damage in the death overs.

Even for Rajasthan, this is the final match, and they too need to win this match with a reasonable run rate to keep their hopes alive to qualify for playoffs.

  • Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes will open the innings for RR.
  • Sanju Samson will bat at No.3, followed by Steve Smith and Jos Buttler.
  • All-rounders Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia will play a crucial role in the lower middle order.
  • Shreyas Gopal and Rahul Tewatia will form the spin attack of the team.
  • The pace attack will consist of Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Kartik Tyagi, and Varun Aaron.

Anything over 160-170 in the 1st innings can be considered to be a fighting total. A total of 22 matches have been played here so far in Dream11 IPL 2020. The team batting first has won 14 games, out of which super overs decided three games.
