NZ vs AUS Dream11 Prediction and Top Picks: 2nd T20I, Australia tour of New Zealand, 2021

The 2nd of the Five-match T20I series between New Zealand and Australia will be played at University Oval, Dunedin. We will cover NZ vs AUS Dream11 Prediction, match preview, and Fantasy Cricket Tips.

Australia:

Australia’s struggle in the T20 formant continues as they lost the first match of the series by a margin of 53 runs. The team appeared to be a little inexperienced in terms of exposure to international cricket, which might have been one reason for the loss.

Aaron Finch’s poor form from the Big Bash continues as he got out early in the last match. Matthew Wade and Josh Philippe, who appeared to be in their best form, couldn’t score much, but they would hope to come back stronger in the next match.

In the middle-order, Mitchell Marsh batted decently, trying to stabilize the innings, but he did not get enough support from the other end. Both Maxwell and Stoinis, who were supposed to be the big hitters, got out cheaply. In the end, Ashton Agar and Jhye Richardson scored some runs, but it was very late.

The bowlers started very well by picking up three early wickets and had everything under control, but after that, they couldn’t maintain the pressure, and as a result, they ended up conceding a lot of runs. Lack of experience in the bowling attack was visible.

Jhye Richardson bowled decently, picking up two wickets, and also Daniel Sams managed to pick up a couple of wickets, but he was quite expensive. All the other bowlers went for runs and also failed to pick up wickets.

Australia would be hoping to make a comeback by winning the next match to level the series 1-1.

New Zealand:

New Zealand continues their successful run in the T20 format from their last series by comfortably winning the 1st T20I. They have been performing consistently and have been building their squad for the upcoming T20I World Cup.

Martin Guptill has been struggling lately and has not been consistent in providing an excellent start to the team. Time Seifert and Kane Williamson have been doing an excellent job in the top-order and giving stability to the middle-order, but both of them couldn’t score much in the last match.

Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips have been one of the best finds for New Zealand in the middle-order. Both of them can play the anchor’s role and can go berserk when needed for the team. Conway was brilliant with the bat in the last match and missed his well-deserved century just by one run.

In the lower middle-order, Jimmy Neesham and Mitchell Santner have been performing their role as all-rounders pretty well.

The experienced bowling unit of New Zealand completed rattled the Australian team. Ish Sodhi bowled exceptionally well, picking up four wickets, and the experienced fast bowling duo Southee-Boult managed to pick up 2 wickets.

New Zealand looks a better side than Australia, and they would want to crush Australia in the 2nd T20 and take a more significant lead in the series by 2-0.
