STA vs SCO Dream11 Prediction | Top Picks | 50th Match, BBL 2020-21

Hello and welcome to our STA vs SCO Dream11 Prediction, Probable Playing XI, and Fantasy Cricket Tips. Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers will play against each other in the 50th match of the Big Bash League 2020-21 at The Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.

Melbourne Stars:

Stars have performed decently so far this season as they have won 5 out of the 12 matches, and one match was abandoned due to rain. They are currently at the 4th position on the points table with a total of 23 points. They had to face disappointment in the last match as they lost their last game by 5 wickets.

Opening batsman Andre Fletcher except for one match has looked out of form this season but his partner Stoinis has been batting well and providing a good start in almost every game and scored 37 runs in the previous game.

Nick Larkin has been batting at different positions this season and has put up some good performances with the bat. Skipper Maxwell has also been performing well but has appeared to be struggling in the last few matches.

Nic Maddinson and Cartwright have been batting decently in the lower middle-order and providing good finishes for the team in the recent matches.

Adam Zampa has been the most consistent wicket-taker of the team but went wicketless in the last match, and Liam Hatcher has also bowled well in most of the games. Zahir Khan has also picked up some crucial wickets so far in this season. Nathan Coulter-Nile played after many matches and bowled well picking up 3 wickets.

Stars need to get back to the winning ways to ensure a spot in the playoffs.

Perth Scorchers:

The Perth Scorchers have performed well as they have won seven games out of eleven matches so far this season and are currently at the 2nd position on the points table with 28 points.

Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone have been opening the innings and providing a decent start. Colin Munro at No.3 has already scored four fifties so far this season but got out early in the last match.

Josh Inglis was also performing well in his new position as the middle-order batsman and scored a brilliant fifty in the last match. Skipper Ashton Turner has been scoring some quick runs and providing an excellent finish to the team but appeared to be a little slow in the previous game.

Aaron Hardie has been decent with the bat so far this season, and Jhye Richardson has played a couple of quick innings in the limited chances he got with the bat.

The Scorchers’ bowlers have been performing brilliantly, and their performance was even better in the last match. Jhye Richardson has been the consistent wicket-taker in the team and picked up 4 wickets in the previous game.

Jason Behrendoff has also been bowling very well and picking up wickets regularly from the last few matches. Fawad Ahmed has been handling the spin department decently. Andrew Tye has not been up to the mark this season but has performed brilliantly in some of the matches.

Scorchers need to continue their winning momentum to hold their position at the top two, and if luck favours, they can even climb to the top of the points table.

STA vs SCO Pitch Report

Average 1st innings score: 165

Average 2nd innings score: 111

(The average scores are based on two matches played here at this venue so far this season)

The pitch here is a balanced one between the ball and the ball. The bowlers will get some help early in the innings, but it will get comfortable for the bowlers as the match progresses. Spinners are generally considered less useful here, but in the last game, most of the wickets were taken by spinners, so we can say pitch will help spinners in the second half.

The team batting first has won one out of the two matches so far at this venue this season.

Weather Forecast

The weather will be clear skies, and there is no chance of rain during the match.
