Josh Inglis Biography

31 years old, young and talented Wicket-Keeper batsman Joshua Inglis was born on 4 March 1995 in Leeds, United Kingdom. His full name is Joshua Pattrick Inglis, And he is mainly known for playing International Cricket, Domestic Cricket and various Franchise Cricket. And he started playing domestic cricket in August 2015, while international cricket from Feb 2022.

He is known to play as a Wicketkeeper batsman cricket player in his team, and his bating style is Right hand Bat. And he is especially known to bats on Middle order position.

Josh Inglis Domestic Career

After showing his impressive performances in Club Cricket for Western Australia U17s, U19s, and U23s, Inglis made his first-class debut for Cricket Australia XI on 02 December 2015 against the West Indies. he made an impressive 44 in his debut innings batting in the middle order position.

List A debut

And then he made his List-A debut on 13 August 2016 for the National Performance Squad against South Africa A. And he has got a chance to play only 25 List A Matches so far, in which he has scored 726 runs with the strike rate of 108.03.

T20s debut

He made his T20s debut on 23 December 2017 for the Scorchers against Sixers. And he has got a chance to play only 79 T20s Matches so far, in which he has scored 1964 runs with the strike rate of 148.33.

International Career

After Seeing Inglis’s consistent performances in all three formats of domestic cricket, For the first time, Australia Cricket Board decided to include him in the Australia National Team in the year 2022.

He made his international debut in T20Is on February 11, 2022, against Sri Lanka, followed by his ODI debut on June 24, 2022, also against Sri Lanka. His Test debut came later, on January 29th, 2025, again versus Sri Lanka, in which he also scored his first test century. Inglis has been a part of significant tournaments, including the ICC T20 World Cup, the ICC ODI World Cup, and the ICC World Test Championship.

Josh Inglis BBL Career

Josh Inglis started his BBL Career as a replacement for Mitch Marsh in the 6th edition of the Big Bash League. He has earned a name for himself in the league and is now the first-choice wicket-keeper for the team.

His best came in the 2020-21 season as he smashed 405 runs at an impressive average of 28.93 and was regularly giving his team an excellent start.

And Inglis has scored 968 runs from 46 Big Bash games at an excellent strike rate of 141.11 and his highest score being 73.
