Asia Cup 2025: The 17th Men’s Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to September 28, 2025, organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Despite being hosted by India (BCCI holds hosting rights), matches are being held on neutral grounds in Dubai and Abu Dhabi due to ongoing diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan.

In this article, we’ll discuss the Asia Cup 2025 full schedule, matches, venues, and timings for the Asia Cup 2025.

Host Nation and Venues

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially confirmed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the host nation for the Asia Cup 2025. This decision aligns with the ACC’s policy of holding events at neutral venues, particularly when India or Pakistan are designated hosts, given the existing cross-border tensions.

The matches are expected to be primarily played across two prominent venues in the UAE:

  • Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
  • Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi

Tournament Dates and Format

The Asia Cup 2025 will commence on September 9, 2025, and conclude with the grand final on September 28, 2025. The tournament will feature a total of 19 matches, all played in the fast-paced T20I format.

The eight participating teams have been divided into two groups:

Group A:

  • India
  • Pakistan
  • UAE
  • Oman

Group B:

  • Sri Lanka
  • Bangladesh
  • Afghanistan
  • Hong Kong

The tournament format is structured as follows:

  1. Group Stage: Each team in a group will play against the other teams in their group once.
  2. Super Four Stage: The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four stage. In this phase, each of the four qualifying teams will play against the other three teams once.
  3. Final: The top two teams from the Super Four stage will then compete in the grand final to determine the Asia Cup 2025 champions.

This format provides ample opportunities for high-voltage encounters, including the potential for multiple clashes between arch-rivals India and Pakistan.
