If we talk about her cricket career, then she started playing cricket only at the age of 9 to 10 years and she started playing international cricket in the year 2014, and for the first time, she was selected for the Women One Day (WODI) team in November 2014.
And she was included in a WODI series playing against the South Africa Women’s team in the ICC Women’s Championship 2014, and she made her WODI debut on 28 November 2014 against the SA WMN team.
And Deepti has scored the highest 188 runs in WODI which is the third-highest individual scorer by a woman cricketer. Apart from this, together with Poonam Raut, she has also made a world record opening partnership of 320 runs in Women’s One-Day international.
Deepti was also part of the Indian team in the final match of the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup where the team India lost to England by nine runs. And this year in the 2017 Cricket World Cup, Deepti scored 216 runs in a total of 8 matches and also took 12 wickets.

Deepthi was selected for the first time in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) during its inauguration in 2023 with a contract of 2.6 crore rupees with the UP Warriors team. She played her WPL debut match on March 3, 2023, against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Following that, for the 2024 WPL season, UP Warriors once again retained Deepthi Sharma in their team by spending another 2.6 crore rupees.
