On 13 November 2017, He made his FC debut for Amo Region in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, And then for the same team, On 10 July 2018, Farooqi made his List A debut in the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament.
In December 2018, he was named in Afghanistan’s under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.[5] He made his Twenty20 debut on 14 October 2019, for Boost Defenders in the 2019 Shpageeza Cricket League.
International Career
He made his debut for the Afghanistan national team in a T20 match against Zimbabwe in March 2021, where he showcased his skills as a bowler and picked up two wickets. He continued to impress in the subsequent matches, and was soon considered an important member of the Afghan cricket team.
In the Next Year, He made his ODI debut on 25 January 2022 against Netherlands at Abu Doha, And he has got a chance to play 10 ODI Matches so far, In which he has taken 17 wickets by giving runs at an economy of 5.09.
