And he is mainly known for playing Domestic Cricket, International Cricket, and Sri Lanka Premier League Franchise Cricket from the year 2014. And he has started playing domestic cricket in August 2017 while international cricket from September 2016.

Rajitha started playing domestic cricket with the Badureliya Sports Club team in the year 2014 and got a chance to play List A cricket for the first time. And he made List A debut on 05 December 2014 in the match of Badureliya vs SL Army at Maggona.
After that he got a chance to made his T20 debut in the next year 2015 and he made his debut in T20 cricket on 02 April 2015 in the match of Sinhalese vs Badureliya at Colombo (SSC), And then he made debut in first class cricket on 6 January 2015 in the match of Nondescripts vs Badureliya at Colombo (NCC).

After Seeing Rajitha’s consistent performances in all three formats of domestic cricket, For the first time, Sri lanka Cricket Board decided to include him in the Sri Lanka National Team in the year 2016 for T20I Squad.
T20I debut
And he was included in T20I International cricket for the first time and he made his T20I debut on 09 February 2016 while playing against the India team, after that he also got a chance to debut in One Day International and Test Cricket in the next two year.
ODI cricket debut
And he made his One Day International debut on 01 August 2018 while playing against the South Africa at Dambulla, and he has got a chance to play only 13 ODI cricket matches so far in which he has taken 17 wickets by giving runs at economy of 6.09.
Test debut
And he made his Test International debut on 14 June 2018 while playing against the West Indies at Gros Islet, and he has got a chance to play only 13 Test cricket matches so far in which he has taken 39 wickets by giving runs at economy of 3.10.
Kasun Rajitha Franchise Cricket Career
Rajitha started playing franchise cricket in 2022 with the Sri Lanka Premier League, and was bought by the Dambulla Viiking team for the 2020 Sri Lanka Premier League season for the first time. And he is a part of this team in the Sri Lanka Premier League till now.
