Matthew Short Domestic Career
On 20 July 2014, Short made his List A debut against the South Africa A team at Palmerston in the Quadrangular Series. And then, On 29 October 2015, He made his first-class debut for Cricket Australia XI in a tour match against the New Zealanders team.
T20s debut
He made his T20s debut on 26 December 2014 in the match of Renegades vs Scorchers at Perth. and he has got a chance to play only 84 T20s matches so far, In which he has scored 1762 runs with his bat and also took 24 wickets with his bowl.
Matthew Short International Career
After his impressive show in the Big Bash League (BBL) and the domestic circuit, he made his T20I debut for Australia on 30 August 2023 against South Africa at Durban. He wasn’t that impressive in his debut game as he was dismissed cheaply and also went wicketless with the ball.
And he will also be part of the Australia squad for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup which will played in India.
T20I Career
After making his T20I debut, Short also made his ODI debut against India on 22 September 2023 at Mohali. He looked dull on his debut as he scored only 2 runs with his bat and also did not take any wickets in his 6 overs blowing spells.
And he has played only 1 ODI match so far, in which he has scored only 2 runs with his bat.
