Born on 02 October 2002 in Chapai Nawabgonj, Bangladesh, Rana’s passion for cricket was evident from a young age, and he is especially known for playing Test cricket for the Bangladesh National team, and domestic cricket for the Rajshahi Division Team.

Nahid Rana is a right-arm fast bowler known for his raw pace and aggressive playing style. He consistently bowls at speeds exceeding 140 kph, making him one of the fastest bowlers in Bangladesh.

He started playing club & domestic cricket in the year 2021 while playing with the Rajshahi Division team. On 31 October 2021, he made his first-class debut for Rajshahi Division in the 2021-22 National Cricket League. And he claimed his maiden five-wicket haul in first-class cricket against Barishal Division in the 2022-23 National Cricket League.
And after that, he was Selected to play for the Khulna Tigers in the 2022-23 BPL, where he made his T20I debut on 24 January 2023 in the match of Khulna vs Dominators at Mirpur.
