He made his List A debut on 27 January 2017 in the match of Zimbabwe A vs AFG A at Harare. And he has got a chance to play 67 List A Matches so far, In which he has scored 2099 runs.

In September 2017, Gurbaz’s T20 debut came in the Shpageeza Cricket League, a premier T20 tournament in Afghanistan, where he represented the Mis Ainak Knights. He made an instant impact in his very first match, By scoring 86 runs off just 43 balls.

And on 1 March 2018, He made his first-class debut for Mis Ainak Region in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament.
