Dan Christian and Jordan Silk have also played their roles in the lower middle-order, providing brilliant finishes.
The bowlers have been performing decently so far this season. Ben Dwarshuis has been the most consistent at picking up wickets. Dan Christian and Carlos Braithwaite have played a crucial role in picking up wickets at the right time in some of the matches. Sean Abbott has picked up wickets in every match he has played so far in this season.
Sydney Sixers would want to continue their winning momentum by winning once more against the Finals’ Scorchers and becoming the champions twice in two seasons.
Perth Scorchers:
The Perth Scorchers performed well in the league stage and finished in 2nd place, qualifying for the Qualifier and lost that match. But they won the Challenger match against the Heat by nine wickets and are back on the winning track.
Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone have been opening the innings and providing a decent start in most matches, and Liam scored a brilliant half-century in the previous match. Colin Munro at No.3 has already scored four fifties so far this season and is one of the top five run-scorers this season.
Josh Inglis was also performing well in his new position as the middle-order batsman and scored a brilliant fifty in the last match. Skipper Ashton Turner has been scoring some quick runs and providing an excellent finish to the team. Mitchell Marsh has given some excellent performances and batted brilliantly at No.3 in the last match.
Cameron Bancroft replaced injured Jason Roy in the last match and batted well, scoring a fifty. In the lower order, Aaron Hardie and Jhye Richardson have been very helpful with the bat as they have added runs every time they got a chance.
The Scorchers’ bowlers have been performing brilliantly, and they continued the same in the last match. Jhye Richardson has been the consistent wicket-taker in the team but went wicketless in the last two matches. Jason Behrendoff has also been bowling very well and regularly picking up wickets from the latter half of the season.
Fawad Ahmed has been handling the spin department decently. Andrew Tye has appeared to be getting back in form as he has been consistently picking up wickets in recent games. Aaron Hardie picked up 3 wickets in the last match.
Scorchers would want to continue their winning momentum and become the champions for the fourth time in BBL.
