SIX vs THU Dream11 Team Prediction & Preview: 14th Match, BBL 2019-20

Sydney Sixers will take on Sydney Thunder in the 14th match of Big Bash League 2019-20 at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. We will provide SIX vs THU Dream11 Prediction, Match Preview, and Probable Playing XI of the game.

Sydney Sixers:

Sydney Sixers are currently at 4th position with 2 wins and 2 losses and a total of 4 points to their name. In the last match, batting first Sixers lost the early wicket of Josh Philippe, but Daniel Hughes and James Vince steadied the innings by scoring 35 and 22 runs, respectively. In the middle overs, Moses Henriques played a sensible inning of 35 runs from 20 balls and maintained a reasonable run rate for the team. But it was the innings of Sam Curran in the end, which helped Sixers post a total of 174 runs. He scored 24 runs just in the last over and scored a total of 43 runs in only 21 balls and was the Man of the Match.

With 174 runs to defend, bowlers were exceptional in that match. They started picking up wickets early in the innings and continued to pick up the wickets at regular intervals and got the opposition out for just 126 runs in 18 overs and won the match by 48 runs. Jackson Bird and Sean Abbott bowled exceptionally well and picked up three wickets each; Ben Dwarshuis picked up 2 wickets, Tom Curran and Llyod Pope picked up one wicket each. They would want to put up once again an excellent performance and win the match against the tabletop Sydney Thunder.

Sydney Thunder:

Sydney Thunder has played exceptionally well this season. They haven’t lost a match and are at the top of the points table with 2 wins and a total of 5 points. The last game played by Sydney Thunder was abandoned due to the visibility factor because smog had covered the ground as the second innings was in progress. In the previous match, bowling first, they picked up 2 wickets in the first 2 overs but after that, they weren’t able to pick up wickets easily and gave away the right amount of runs. They managed to restrict the opposition for 161 runs after 20 overs. Chris Morris and Daniel Sams bowled well and picked up 2 wickets each while Jonathan Cook picked up 1 wicket.

With 162 runs to chase, they had to face the set back as Khawaja got out for a duck on the second ball. But then Ferguson came to the crease and smashed the bowlers and scored 27 runs off just 11 balls. As the innings were progressing, smog covered the ground, and later the match abandoned. Thunder was well above par score, but they had played only 4.2 overs. They had to play a minimum of 5 overs to declare the results, and thus, they were little unlucky in the last match. They would want to continue their form against the Sydney Sixers and win this match also.
