Team Sri Lanka have been revamped for World Cup’19 due to their poor form recently but still are a strong side containing quality batsmen in form of Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, and Angelo Mathews along with hard-hitting allrounders like Thisara Perera and Isuru Udana supplementing pace attack led by Lasith Malinga. New Zealand won the first warm-up game against India while lost another to West Indies. In the first warm-up match, Trent Boult was at his lethal best to destroy India’s top-order taking four-wicket haul while Jimmy Neesham took three scalps. Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor starred with the bat while in a second warm-up match, Kiwi bowlers failed to restrict Windies resulting in a target of 422. Trent Boult took another four-wicket haul while Kane Williamson and Tom Blundell played impressive knocks of 85 and 106 respectively in losing cause for their team. They will be hope to ease the nerves of a big tournament and gain some early momentum defeating Sri Lanka team.

A good contest can be expected between both teams.
