STA vs STR Dream11 Prediction & Preview: 13th Match, BBL 2019-20

Melbourne Stars will take on Adelaide Strikers in the 13th match of Big Bash League 2019-20 at Carrara Oval in Queensland. We will provide STA vs STR Dream11 Prediction, Match Preview, and Fantasy Cricket Tips.

Melbourne Stars:

They are having a good time as they are unbeaten after the two games and currently at the 2nd position on the points table. In the last match, batting first, Stars started their innings pretty good. They scored 80 runs in the first 10 overs without losing any wickets. But later, they began to lose wickets in regular intervals and were restricted to a total of 163 runs in 20 overs. Nic Maddison played a decent inning of 40 runs from 39 balls. The star of the innings was Marcus Stoinis, who scored 81* runs from 54 balls and helped Stars in posting that total.

Melbourne Stars bowlers bowled exceptionally well. They started up picking up wickets from the 3rd over and got the opposition all out for 111 runs in 16 overs. They never allowed the opposition to gain momentum. Haris Rauf was just brilliant in that match and picked up a fifer for 27 runs in his four overs, Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa picked up two wickets each, Sandeep Lamichane picked up one wicket. They won that match by a significant margin of 52 runs. Melbourne Stars would be hoping to continue their winning momentum against Adelaide Strikers.

Adelaide Strikers:

The first match played by Adelaide Strikers was abandoned due to the visibility factor because smog had covered the ground as the second innings was in progress. In the second match, Batting first, Strikers lost an early wicket of Philip Salt in the 1st over. But Jake Weatherald and Matthew Short played brilliantly and steadied the innings. Short got out in the 9th over after scoring34 runs from 22 balls. Later, Alex Carey and Weatherald smashed the bowlers all over the park by scoring 55 runs from 24 balls and 83 runs from 47 balls, respectively. In the end, Jonathan Wells scored 18 runs from 9 balls, and Strikers posted a massive total of 198 runs in 18 overs (Match was reduced to 18 overs due to rain).

While bowling, Strikers gave away 124 runs for the first wicket that too in just eight overs. It looked like Strikers would lose the match even after scoring a massive total of 198 runs. But they picked up two wickets of set batsmen back to back and picked up other wickets in regular intervals and restricted the opponents to 183 runs and won the match by 15 runs. Rashid Khan picked up 3 wickets, Harry Conway and Wes Agar picked up 2 wickets each. They would want to better their performance against Melbourne Stars and hopefully win the game.

Top picks for STA vs STR Dream11 Prediction

STA:

Glenn Maxwell:
He is a batting all-rounder, but he is mostly known for his destructive batting. Maxwell has a wide range of shorts and can smash the bowlers all over the park. He scored 89 runs in the first match from just 39 balls, and he was awarded as Man of the Match. He has scored a total of 91 runs and picked up two wickets this season. Maxwell is the best Captain choice in the STR vs STA Fantasy Team.

Marcus Stoinis:
He is one of the top all-rounders in the Big Bash League. Stoinis is equally good with both bat and ball. He opens the batting for Melbourne Stars and scored 81 runs in the previous match and has scored a total of 97 runs in this season.

Ben Dunk:
Left-handed batsman will bat in the middle order for Melbourne Stars. He scored 30 runs in this season.

Peter Handscomb:
The wicket-keeper batsman bats sensibly according to the situation of the match. He has scored 23 runs in this season.

Adam Zampa:
He is a decent leg-spin bowler and has the wicket-taking ability in the middle overs. He picked up 3 wickets for 30 runs in his 4 overs in the first match and picked up 2 wickets in the last game.

Sandeep Lamichhane:
This young lad is a brilliant leg spinner and adapts to conditions very quickly. He picked up 1 wicket but gave away too many runs in the last match.

Dale Steyn:
This veteran pace bowler bowls at a perfect pace and can swing the ball in the early overs and is a very lethal bowler. He is a must pick in your dream team as he is in a great form recently.

Daniel Worrall:
He is a medium-fast bowler and bowls at a decent pace. Worrall bowled well in the first match and picked up 2 wickets for just 21 runs in his 4 overs. He went wicketless in the previous game.

STR:

Alex Carey:
Skipper and wicket-keeper Alex Carey is a reliable batsman in the middle order. He batted sensibly in the last match and scored 45 runs in the first match and scored 55 runs from just 24 balls in the previous game. Alex Carey is right to pick in STA vs STR Dream11 Team.

Jake Weatherald:
This left-handed batsman has started this season well and played a sensible knock of 42 runs in the first match and played a brilliant knock of 83 runs from 47 balls.

Matthew Short:
He is an all-rounder and is generally good with the bat. In the last match, he scored 34 runs off 22 balls and has scored a total of 41 runs this season. If the team required, then he can also bowl.

Phil Salt:
The hard-hitting batsman bats at the top of the order for the Strikers. Phil Salt made 406 runs with a strike rate of 161.11 in this year’s T20 Vitality Blast for the Sharks, but he was out for a duck in the first match and scored only 2 runs in the second match.

Rashid Khan:
He is one of the best leg-spinner in the world in the T20 format. Rashid Khan can also hit some big shots batting down the order. He picked up 3 wickets in the last match.

Jonathan Wells:
He is a very consistent batsman and had a perfect last season. He continued his form in this season too and scored 55 runs from just 32 balls in the first match and scored 18* runs in the second match.

Billy Stanlake:
He is a decent pace bowler and has the wicket-taking ability with his pace and bounce. The main concern about him is his economy rate, which is above 9. He picked up 1 wicket in the first match and went wicketless in the second match.
