WI vs SL Dream11 Prediction, Probable Playing XI, Top Picks: 2nd ODI

WI vs SL Dream11 Prediction, Probable Playing XI, and Fantasy Cricket Tips of the 2nd ODI match. West Indies and Sri Lanka will play against each other in the 2nd ODI at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.

West Indies:

West Indies continue their domination even in the ODI series as they comfortably won the first match by eight wickets. They put up a good performance with both bat and ball.

Both Evin Lewis and Shai Hope gave a brilliant start to the innings and almost scored half the target. Hope continued his brilliant form in the ODI’s and scored a century in the first ODI. Darren Bravo and Jason Mohammed were also decent with the bat in the middle-order and finished the team’s match.

Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard did not get to bat, but it is well known that they can cause havoc if they get a chance in the next matches. The bowlers did a very good job and never allowed the opposition to score runs freely and consistently picked up wickets.

The fast bowlers Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph are looking in a good rhythm to pick up wickets. Romario Shepherd needs to improve, as he went for quite some runs. Spinners also played their parts, especially Jason Mohammed and Fabian Allen.

In addition to them, Pollard was also decent with the ball, but there were high hopes on Akeal Hossain, but he could not perform to that level.

West Indies would hope to continue the same momentum in the next match and win an ODI series after a long gap.

Sri Lanka:

The opposition completely outplayed Sri Lanka, and at no point in the 1st ODI, they appeared to be in a strong position. They need to change their team selection as the team looked to be very imbalanced.

Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and his opening partner Danushka Gunathilaka started well by scoring fifties and a partnership of hundred runs. Pathum Nissanka made his ODI debut and batted at No.3 but couldn’t achieve much.

Mathews and Chandimal, who were supposed to handle the middle-order and stabilize the innings, had gotten out early. Another debutant named Ashen Bandara, a bowling all-rounder, batted well, scoring a fifty, and helped the team reach a decent total.

Thisara Perera, an experienced all-rounder, was not selected for the 1st ODI, and that troubled the Lankans as there was no one to score in the lower-middle order. The bowling unit was completely out of rhythm as no one could pick up wickets except for Dushmantha Chameera.

Sri Lanka needs to improve their bowling attack and change some players if they want to win the next ODI and stay alive.

Pitch Report:

The pitch here is generally considered good for batting and tends to slow down in the second innings. In the last match, the score was easily chased, but it was due to the SL bowlers’ inefficiency.

Pacers had more success in the last match, but spinners were also equally important. There are some big hitters on both sides, and if they get going, we might witness a high-scoring game.

Average first innings score: 231

Average first innings score: 201
