Mumbai Indians managed to score 136/7 in their 20 overs. Alzarri Joseph gets the most successful overseas batter of IPL; the inside edge from Warner’s bat goes into the stumps.
After getting wicket in the first ball Joseph did not look back; dismissed Vijay Shankar in his second over, then in the third over bowled out Deepak Hooda and Rashid Khan caught & bowled in two back to back delivery. In the fourth over get’s wickets of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and S Kaul. A display of lethal fast bowling by Joseph destroyed Hyderabad’s batting line-up. This spell became the best bowling spell of IPL history, Joseph bowled 3.4 overs in that one maiden over and took 6 wickets by considering just 12 runs.
Sohail Tanvir : 4.0-0-14-6
Sohail Tanvir is the Purple cap winner of the inaugural season of IPL. Against Chennai Super Kings at Jaipur Tanvir delivered one of most amazing spells of the IPL. Tanvir bowled his 4 over spell and takes 6 crucial wickets of Chennai’s batter and just give 14 runs. Tanvir showed his class throughout the first season and took the most number of wickets for Rajasthan Royals, this helped Rajasthan Royals a lot in getting their first IPL title.
Adam Zampa : 4.0-0-19-6
A talented Leg spinner from Australia showed his presence in the IPL. Playing for Rising Pune Supergiants Adam Zampa showed his skills and took 6 wickets of Sunrisers Hyderabad batter. Zampa gives just 19 runs and takes wickets of big fish including Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson, and Mosies Henriques. Unfortunately, Rising Pune Supergiants didn’t manage to chase down the target of 137 runs. But Adam Zampa was awarded with a player of the match for his highlight performance.

Indian legend and highest wicket-taker for India at his best against the Rajasthan Royals in Capetown. Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to score 133 in 29 overs. Anil Kumble opened the bowling for RCB and he bowled one of the finest spells, Kumble bowled 3.1 overs in that 1 maiden over and took 5 wickets, and just gave 5 runs. Rajasthan surrendered against Anil Kumble’s leg spin and got all out at just 58 runs.
Akash Madhwal : 3.3-0-5-5
India’s talented medium-fast bowler Akash Madhwal showed his skills in the IPL 2023, Playing for Mumbai Indians, and took 5 wickets by giving 5 runs in his 3.3 overs spell against Lucknow Super Giants.
Jasprit Bumrah : 4.0-1-10-5
Ipl superstar and premier fast bowler of India added one more brilliant spell to his list. Against Kolkata Knight Riders Bumrah bowled his 4 over with one maiden over, Jasprit gets a fifer and was once again very economical by giving just ten runs. Unfortunately Mumbai not managed to win that game but Bumrah was awarded with player of the match for his fast bowling display.
