Border Gavaskar Trophy has witnessed some of the finest performances from the finest players from India and Australia. The ongoing series has already seen some power-packed performances. India won the first test by 295 runs at Perth but Australia made a strong comeback in the second test at Adelaide Oval and won the match within three days.

1. Mitchell Starc
The left-arm pacer was accurate with his length and swung the ball both ways. The 35-year-old showed why he is a threat with the Pink ball. Starc was penetrative with the old ball as well as the new ball. Starc registered figures of 6/48 in the first innings and 2/60 in the second innings.
2. Pat Cummins
The Australian skipper bowled brilliantly and used the conditions at the Adelaide Oval well. The 32-year-old bowled in the right areas and swung the ball late which troubled the Indian batters. Cummins registered figures of 2/41 in the first innings and 5/57 in the second innings. Cummins surprised the Indian batters with bouncers with the new ball. Cummins used his leg cutters cleverly by putting the Indian batters in two minds.
3. Scott Boland
The 34-year-old pacer line and his ability to hurry the batters with his pace and bounce put the Indian batters in trouble. Indian batters showed poor shot selection when it came to judging the length of Boland as the pacer troubled the Indian batters with his clever seam movements. He registered figures of 2/54 and 3/51 in the first and second innings respectively. Boland’s made the Indian batters make mistakes while playing on the front foot.
4.Travis Head
Head was undoubtedly the best performer in the Australian team. The 31-year-old batted with aggression and didn’t hesitate to play his shots freely. The left-hander placed the ball well with some brilliant late cuts and looked comfortable on the back foot as well as the front foot. Head hit the ball well in the gaps with some wonderful drives. His 140 in the first innings laid the foundation for the win. Head played Ravichandran Ashwin well and didn’t try to attack him.
5. Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah was spot on with his pace and swing but couldn’t get enough help from other Indian bowlers except pacer Mohammed Siraj. The captain bowled in the right areas and surprised the Australian batters with his pace and bounce. The right-arm pacer registered figures of 4/61 in the first innings. Bumrah’s seam movement caused problems for the Australian batters.
