English rising female cricketer Issy Wong was born on 15 May 2002 in Chelsea, London, England, and is a bowling allrounder cricket player who bats right-handed and bowls Right-arm fast-medium pace. And she made her debut for the England Women’s International team with WTEST formats of cricket in the year 2022.
Issy Wong Cricket Career
In 2019, Wong played for the England Academy in a match against Australia A. She was also included in the England Academy squad for the 2019/20 season. In 2020, Wong was one of 24 England players to resume training during the COVID-19 pandemic.
And then, She acted as a nets bowler for the England players ahead of their series against the West Indies but was not selected in the squad for the series. In January 2021, Wong travelled with the England squad for their series against New Zealand, but was not part of the playing squad.
International Career
Wong started her International career with Test Formats of Cricket in June 2022 and She made her WTest debut on 27 June 2022 in the match of SA WMN vs ENG WMN at Taunton.
Then, She made her One Day International debut for England against South Africa on 15 July 2022 and took three wickets in her debut match. Later the same month, she was named in England’s team for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. She also made her Women’s Twenty20 International debut on 21 July 2022, during England’s home series against South Africa. In November 2022, she was awarded her first England central contract.

In the year 2023, she was included in the Mumbai Indians Women (MI) team for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League. On 04 March 2023, She made her WPL debut while playing against Gujarat Giants, in which she has taken one wicket. Then, She was again signed by the Mumbai team for the 2024 season.
