LAH vs PES Dream11 Prediction And Top Picks: 2nd Match, PSL 2021

The 2nd match of the Pakistan Super League 2021 will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi on February 21th at National Stadium in Karachi. We will cover LAH vs PES Dream11 Prediction, match preview and Fantasy Cricket Tips.

Lahore Qalandars Preview:

After comfortably being the least successful PSL history team, the Lahore Qalandars enjoyed their best campaign yet last year. They made the knockout phase for the first time but ultimately lost in the Karachi Kings’ final.

The positive news for the Qalandars is that they have retained the vast majority of their roster from last year, and that will give them confidence, especially with the addition of star leg-spinner Rashid Khan.

There is no Chris Lynn for them, but their batting otherwise remains healthy and well-rounded while Tom Abell and Joe Denly have been signed to bolster their overseas options as they look capable of challenging once again.

Peshawar Zalmi Preview:

Peshawar Zalmi produced their worst finish to a PSL campaign last year as they came fourth as they lost to opponents Lahore Qalandars in the first Eliminator, so they will be hoping to fare much better this time around.

Sohail Akhtar leads a team that is likely to feature Fakhar Zaman up the order in PSL 2021 and a bowling attack blending Rashid Khan’s spin and pace trio Haris Rauf, Dilbar Hussain and Shaheen Afridi.

They used a staggering 24 different players last season. That was a combination of losing some for the delayed knockout phase, unavailability of players, and many of their overseas players’ poor form as they struggled badly.

Peshawar Zalmi has overhauled their squad this time around. They have signed a whole new batch of overseas players, including Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Sherfane Rutherford, Ravi Bopara, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and eventually David Miller be hoping for much more from that contingent.

Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars, Match 2, PSL 2021

Date: 21st February 2021

Time: 2:30 PM

Venue: National Stadium, Karachi

Pitch Report:

A high-scoring game beckons at the National Stadium, with some help on offer for the pacers. While the average score at this venue in 2019 was 158, the batsmen should find it easy to score early on. The standards will alter their lengths and pace accordingly, with some swing available with the new ball. With it being an afternoon fixture, both teams will look to bat first and post a total close to 165, which is about par at this venue.

Top Picks for LAH vs PES Today’s Dream11 Team:

Rashid Khan:

The 22-year-old is now closing in on 250 T20 matches, in which he has taken 343 wickets. Most recently, he finished the BBL in fine

wicket-taking form and starred in Afghanistan’s ODI series against Ireland.

Shaheen Afridi:

Topped last season’s wicket-taking charts with 17 in 12 matches and will be keen to get back to that sort of form.

Mohammad Hafeez:

Third-top scorer in last season’s Pakistan Super League, the veteran batsman and spin-bowler is likely to be essential for the Qalandars again.

Shoaib Malik:

The 39-year-old has more than 10,000 runs in T20 cricket and continues to prove a key player in this format, primarily with the bat but occasionally the ball too.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman:

Sits third in the T20i world bowling rankings, bowling economically but also taking wickets. Still aged just 19, he is going to be a key player for years to come.

Kamran Akmal:

Another 39-year-old whose penchant for T20 cricket has not yet worn off, if he fires, it will make a big difference to the Zalmi batting line
