Pratika Rawal was born on 1 September 2000 in Delhi, India. She is an emerging Indian women’s cricketer who plays as a right-handed opening batter and occasional right-arm off-break bowler. She began her cricketing journey at the age of 10 under coach Sharvan Kumar at the Rohtak Road Gymkhana Academy, later training under Dipti Dhyani. Coming from a cricket-oriented family, her father, Pradeep Rawal, is a BCCI-certified Level-II umpire with the DDCA, which gave her early exposure to the game.

She did her schooling at Modern School, Barakhamba Road in New Delhi, where she balanced academics with sports. In her Class 12 CBSE board exams (2019), she scored an impressive 92.5%. Later, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jesus & Mary College, University of Delhi. Alongside cricket, she excelled in basketball, representing Bal Bharati School, Rajender Nagar and winning a gold medal at the 64th School National Games in January 2019.

Pratika earned her maiden call-up to the Indian Women’s ODI team in December 2024, for a home ODI series against the West Indies. And she officially became the 150th woman cricketer to play ODI cricket for India. She made her ODI debut on 22 December 2024 vs West Indies in Vadodara. She opened the batting alongside Smriti Mandhana. And she scored 40 runs and had a 110-run opening partnership with Smriti Mandhana.

In the second ODI of that series, she scored a fifty (76) and also picked up two wickets; among those, she dismissed the West Indies captain Hayley Matthews. On 15 January 2025, against Ireland in Rajkot (third ODI of the series), she scored her first ODI century, making 154 off 129 balls. This also featured a 233-run opening stand with Smriti Mandhana.
