REN vs. SCO Dream11 Prediction & Preview: 26th Match, BBL 2019-20

Melbourne Renegades will take on Perth Scorchers in the 26th match of Big Bash League 2019-20 at Simonds Stadium in Geelong. We will provide REN vs. SCO Dream11 Prediction, Match Preview, and Fantasy Cricket Tips.

Melbourne Renegades:

The defending champions are having a tough time this season, and it looks like the chances of qualifying for the playoffs are becoming lesser after every match. They have played six matches and have lost all the six matches and are currently at the bottom On the points table.

In the last match, batting first, Renegades lost the wicket of Sam Harper for 12 runs in the 2nd over. But after that, they played well and scored 41 runs in the power play without further losing any wickets. In the 8th over Finch got out after scoring 25 runs. Shaun Marsh and Beau Webster batted sensibly by scoring 43 and 29 runs respectively. But after the wicket of Shaun Marsh, they couldn’t score many runs and kept on losing wickets. They lost six wickets for just 25 runs in the end and managed to score a total of 142 runs for nine wickets.

With 142 runs to defend and the kind of batting line up that Melbourne Stars have, it was a tough task for the Renegades bowlers to restrict them. The bowlers couldn’t do much and gave away runs and were also not able to pick up wickets at regular intervals and thus had to face a defeat by eight wickets. Kane Richardson and Richard Gleeson picked up a wicket each. They would be hoping to win their next match against the Perth Scorchers because if they lose this match, there is a chance that they might be out of the tournament this season.

Perth Scorchers:

Scorchers are also not having a good time this season as they have won only two matches out of the six games and are currently at the 7th position on the points table with 4 points.

In the last match, bowling first Scorchers contained the runs but weren’t able to pick up wickets until the 11th over.  But after that, they gave away many runs to the opposition, and D’Arcy Short completed a century at the very last ball by hitting a six. They managed to pick up a wicket in the 16th over, but it did not have any effect over the opposition team. They gave away 180 runs for two wickets in 20 overs. Fawad Ahmed and Liam Living Stone picked up one wicket each.

With 181 runs to chase, Scorchers lost three wickets within the power play and managed to score 41 runs. Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green batted brilliantly by scoring 48 and 33 runs respectively and gave the Scorchers a hope that they could win this match. But their partnership was also broken, and it was all over for Scorchers. In the Jhye Richardson hit some big shots and scored 33 runs from 14 balls, but it was too late by then, and they lost the match by eight runs. They also need to win the match against Melbourne Renegades to stay in the race for playoffs.
