Saim Ayub Biography
Pakistan’s rising all-rounder cricketer Saim Ayub was born on May 24, 2002, in Karachi, Pakistan, and he recognized his interest in cricket since childhood. His family was full of enthusiasm and support for cricket, which helped him move towards his dreams.
He started his professional cricket career in 2021 with the Pakistan Super League tournament. He then made his international cricket debut for the Pakistan team in 2023 against the Afghanistan team.
Saim Ayub Cricket Career
Before making his international cricket debut, Saim had already showcased his talent in domestic cricket. In February 2021, he made his T20 debut for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League. In March 2022, he represented Sindh in the 2021-22 Pakistan Cup List A tournament. In September 2022, he also made his debut in first-class cricket for Sindh in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2022/23.
International Career
In March 2023, Saim made his debut in international cricket against Afghanistan with T20I format of cricket. And he played a brilliant innings of 49 runs against Afghanistan, facing lethal bowlers like Rashid Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Mujeeb ur Rahman, and Mohammad Nabi.
After this, in a T20 match against New Zealand in Lahore, he played a crucial innings of 47 runs in the middle order, helping Pakistan secure a victory over New Zealand by 88 runs.
Following his consistent performances in T20 format cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also included him in the Pakistan World Cup squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, and he could be seen opening for the Pakistan team in this year’s T20I World Cup.

Saim Ayub PSL Career
Saim made his PSL debut in February 2021, playing for Quetta Gladiators. Although his performance in the first few matches was not that strong, he did not give up.
And then the 2023 season of PSL proved to be a career-changer for Ayub. In this season, he was included in the Peshawar Zalmi team, which was captained by Babar Azam.
And then he was re-signed by the Peshawar Zalmi team for the 2024 PSL season, and he performed very well this year, scoring 345 runs in 8 matches, and also scored a brilliant 73 runs in the Eliminator 2 match against Islamabad United at a strike rate of 165.91.
