After a warrant was issued for Sandeep’s arrest, he went into hiding, and his location was untraceable. The Nepal Police sought Interpol’s assistance in apprehending Sandeep. He was eventually arrested in the year 2023.
In January 2024, a court in Kathmandu pronounced its verdict, sentencing him to 8 years in prison along with compensation and fines.
