England tour of Netherlands 2022
Overview
England’s ODI squad will be in action against Netherlands for a three match ODI series starting from June 17th. England has announced a full strength 14 member squad for the series.
Eoin Morgan continues to lead the ODI side whereas, big names like Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone will also be in action in this series. Ben Stokes and Joe Root are not included in the squad and is likely to be rested.
Luke Wood has received his maiden international call up and is included in the squad. It will be a historic series as it is the first time England will be playing a ODI series against the Netherlands and their head coach Matthew Cott has said that they are really excited to play them.
Netherlands on the other are playing against the West Indies at their home and will play England next which will be a great learning experience for them.
Netherlands vs England Head to Head Record
Both the teams have never faced each other in a ODI game and will be playing against each other for the first time in a bilateral series.
They have faced Netherlands five times before in World Cups and other ICC events in which England have emerged victorious three times whereas, Netherlands have also won two games against them in 2014 and 2009.
