England:

The Indian team once again outplayed England as they lost the first match of the series. They got good starts in both batting and bowling but couldn’t maintain the opposition’s pressure and lost the rhythm in the middle overs.

Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, and Tom Curran put up some fight in the end, but the Indian bowlers were too good for them.

The bowling department has appeared to lack experience, which was visible in the 1st ODI. Ben Stokes bowled well, picking up wickets, and Mark Wood started well but was expensive in the death overs and managed to pick up 2 wickets.

England would be hoping to make a comeback in the 2nd match and keep the series alive.
