Early Life

Khary Pierre completed his education from Success Laventille Secondary School, Port of Spain. He started his cricket journey during early childhood with his dearest friend Akeal Hossein, who is also currently doing great in the game.

KP grew up in Chenette Alley, in the east port of Spain. Years later, he moved to Gloria Street, Morvant. And is now residing in Arima Kharry grasped the basics of the game at Queen’s Park cricket club and he is till date thankful to the organization for laying the foundation stone of his career.

This lower-order batsman is a stupendous fielder too. He loves to field and tried to grab all the catches that come in his way.
He is also often compared to Indian all-rounder and world-class fielder Ravindra Jadeja.

During 2016-17 Regional four- day competition, Kharry made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in November 2016.

He later made it to List A debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2016-17. One after the other, Kharry was stepping on all the success stones.
He also played for Regional Super50 in January 2017.

Pierre’s shining performance landed him into making his Twenty20 debut for Trinbago Knight Riders in 2017 Carribean Premier League.
Later in 2018 CPL season, he grabbed a total of eleven wickets and seized some fantastic catches. Taking 3/29 in the Grand finale, Pierre won the title of Man of the Match.

Career flight

In June 2018, he was picked up by West Indies B team squad for inaugural edition on Global T20 Canada tournament.
October 2018 came with another big chance for the hard-working player. He got nominated for Twenty20 international squad against India.

He made T20I debut against India in November 2018.

Pierre left an indelible mark in all the tournaments.

Later in May 2019, he was one among ten reserve players in West Indies squad for 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Lesser known facts about Khary Pierre

KP dedicate the most significant part of his success to his darling mother. He grew up in a middle-class family which was all dependent on the income of his mother. To support him and his five other siblings, Kharry’s mother went overseas to support the expenses of the family. The void created by the mother’s absence was filled up by his grandmother, who selflessly looked after the family.
With a heavy heart, Khary expresses the grief of not being able to see his mother from the past 21 years. His only ambition in life is to work hard and make his mother proud.

Pierre idolizes “Prince of the port of Spain”- Brian Charles Lara. He also looks up to Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, and Sunil Narine.

Kharry’s teammates often hilariously compare him to a lizard. How swiftly this tall and slim guy runs in the ground and grabs those fantastic catches has made me won the title of a lizard among his friends.

Besides performing well in a few tournaments, Kharry went unsold for IPL 2019 with a base price 50 lakhs.
