Navdeep Saini Domestic Career
Saini made his first-class debut for Delhi against Vidharba on December 14, 2013, during the 2013-14 Ranji season. The State Selection Committee was disappointed by his selection because he was from Haryana and not a player from Delhi. However, Saini was backed by Gautam Gambhir forced the selectors to go ahead with his selection for the team.
Almost 2 years later, Saini made his List-A career debut for Delhi by playing against Baroda in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on December 10, 2015. He took 2 wickets in that match and bowled at an economy of 5.10.
Later, in 2016, Saini made his T20 debut against Railways in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and impressed everyone with his pace.
In 2017, he also represented India A side against South Africa and picked up 7 wickets in his 2 games.
International Career
After his impressive performances in 2019 IPL Season for RCB, he was selected for the national team.
He made his T20I debut against West Indies on August 03, 2019. Saini impressed everyone with his bowling and pace and picked up 3 wickets in that game. His 3-wicket haul also earned him the Man of the Match award on his international debut.
After his impressive performances in the T20 format, he was also selected in the ODI squad for the ODI series against West Indies. Saini totally picked up 2 wickets in the match. Saini’s first ODI victim was Shimron Hetmyer and then he also knocked over Roston Chase with a peach of a yorker.
After impressing the selectors with his performances in the ODI and T20 team, Navdeep Saini was drafted into the two-match test series against New Zealand. He did not get a chance in that series. But later, on January 07, 2021, he was his test debut for India against Australia and picked up four wickets in that game.
Saini is known for his sheer pace and is currently a regular member of the national side and is a crucial asset for the team.

Saini was first picked up by the Delhi Capitals for the 2017 IPL Season for his base price of Rs 10 lakhs. Later, In the 2018 IPL auction, he was picked by Royal Challengers Banglore for ₹3 crores.
Saini played 13 matches in that season and picked up 11 wickets. His impressive performances in the IPL also earned him a place in the national team. Saini is currently a key bowler for his team RCB and is a player to watch out for in the coming years.
