Inspired by her elder brother and the love for the game within her family, she started playing tennis-ball cricket in her neighborhood before transitioning to leather-ball cricket.

Her breakthrough moment came in 2022, when she captained Karnataka’s U-19 team in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy pre-quarterfinal against Bengal. Despite a low total of 59 runs, she led her team to victory with her tactical awareness and crucial all-round performance.
In 2024, Niki led Team C to the U-19 Women’s Challenger Trophy title, finishing as the tournament’s highest run-scorer. Her ability to handle pressure and contribute consistently with both bat and ball made her a key player in domestic competitions.
