Niki Prasad was born on October 25, 2005, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, His Full name is Niki Siribhagwan Prasad. And developed a passion for cricket from a young age. Inspired by her elder brother and the love for the game within her family, she started playing tennis-ball cricket in her neighborhood before transitioning to leather-ball cricket.

She is a right-handed batter and a right-arm off-break bowler, making her a valuable all-rounder in the team. As a batter, she is known for her solid technique, patience, and ability to build innings under pressure.

Niki Prasad’s Cricket Career

Her breakthrough moment came in 2022, when she captained Karnataka’s U-19 team in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy pre-quarterfinal against Bengal. Despite a low total of 59 runs, she led her team to victory with her tactical awareness and crucial all-round performance.

In 2024, Niki led Team C to the U-19 Women’s Challenger Trophy title, finishing as the tournament’s highest run-scorer. Her ability to handle pressure and contribute consistently with both bat and ball made her a key player in domestic competitions.

She continued her dominant run in 2024, captaining India A to victory in the Women’s U-19 T20 Asia Cup held in Kuala Lumpur.

International Career & debut

In January 2025, Niki was appointed captain of the Indian squad for the inaugural U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia. Her leadership and all-round capabilities have been pivotal in India’s performances on the international stage.
