STA vs REN Dream11 Prediction | Player Stats | 42nd Match, BBL 2020-21

Hello and welcome to our STA vs REN Dream11 Prediction, Probable Playing XI, and Fantasy Cricket Tips. Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades will play against each other in the 42nd match of the Big Bash League 2020-21 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.

Melbourne Stars:

They are trying to make a comeback in the tournament after few bad performances. Stars have won only 4 out of the 10 matches, and one match was abandoned due to rain.

Melbourne Stars are now at the 4th position on the points table with a total of 16 points. They performed brilliantly and won the last match by 111 runs.

Opening batsman Andre Fletcher finally managed to play a big inning as he scored 89* runs in the last, and his partner Stoinis has been batting well and providing a good start in almost every match.

Skipper Maxwell, who got out for a duck in two matches, batted well in the last game scoring 37 runs. Cartwright also appeared to be struggling in a few matches, but he batted brilliantly in the previous game.

Adam Zampa has been the most consistent wicket-taker of the team, and in the last match, he bowled extra-ordinarily, picking up a fifer. Billy Stanlake has seemed to be getting better with every game. Glenn Maxwell and Zahir Khan managed to pick up two wickets each in the last match.

Stars have finally managed to put up a good performance and win the match, and they need to continue this momentum and win the next game against the Renegades.

Melbourne Renegades:

The Melbourne Renegades are having hard luck this season as they have won only two out of ten matches and are currently at the bottom of the points table with 9 points. They had to face disappointment once again as they lost their last match by five wickets.

Skipper Aaron Finch has been batting decently but has not been able to play a big inning so far in this season. Opening batsman Shaun Marsh has put up some decent performances but got out for a duck in the last match. The new opener Mackenzie has played a couple of decent innings.

Sam Harper has performed well in some of the matches but has not been able to perform consistently. Fraser-McGurk is looking in good form as he scored runs in the middle in the last two games. Beau Webster batted decently, scoring 50* runs in the previous match.

The bowlers have been performing decently so far this season. Only Kane Richardson has been consistently picking up wickets, and Peter Hatzoglou has also been bowling well from the last few matches. Imad Wasim has appeared to be handling the spin department well, as he is again picking up wickets whenever he has got the chance.

With the loss in every match from now on, the hopes of Renegades qualifying for playoffs will be diminishing, so they need to win every game to keep their hopes alive.

STA vs REN Pitch Report

Average 1st innings score: 179

Average 2nd innings score: 68

(The average scores are based on the one match played here at this venue so far this season)

The pitch here is a balanced one between the ball and the ball. The bowlers will get some help early in the innings, but it will get comfortable for the bowlers as the match progresses. Spinners are generally considered to be less useful here, but in the last game, most of the wickets were taken by spinners, so we can say pitch will help spinners in the second half.

The team batting first has won one out of the one match so far at this venue this season.

Weather Forecast

The weather will be clear skies, and there is no chance of rain during the match.
