STA vs HUR Dream11 Prediction & Player Stats: 27th Match | BBL 2020-21

Hello and welcome to our STA vs HUR Dream11 Prediction, Probable Playing XI, and Fantasy Cricket Tips. Melbourne Stars vs Hobart Hurricanes will play against each other in the 27th match of the Big Bash League 2020-21 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart.

Melbourne Stars:

The Melbourne Stars is struggling after a perfect start to the tournament as they have won only 2 out of the six matches and one match was abandoned due to rain. Melbourne Stars are now at the 5th position on the points table with a total of 11 points.

Opening batsman Andre Fletcher has not been able to perform as per the expectations, and Stoinis is also not at his best as he played only a couple of good knocks. Cartwright at No.3 has also let many opportunities slip away to score big.

Only skipper Maxwell has been performing brilliantly with the bat in every match and taking the entire batting unit’s weight on his shoulders. Nicholas Pooran, except for one game, has not performed well so far in this season. The other batsmen have also been unable to perform consistently, and it has become a significant concern for the Stars.

Liam Hatcher and Adam Zampa, who was supposed to be the team’s leading bowlers, lacked bowling in the last few matches. Billy Stanlake has appeared to be getting better in every game and has started to pick up wickets.

Stars need to improve their bowling performance and make few changes in the batting unit as soon as possible; otherwise, they would need to face many more losses.

Hobart Hurricanes:

The Hobart Hurricanes have performed well so far as they have won 5 out of 7 matches and are currently at 2nd position on the points table with 18 points. Hurricanes won their last game comfortably by 21 runs.

D’Arcy Short has not been able to perform consistently so far in this season and his partner McDermott has had a couple of good knocks so far. The No.1 T20 batsman David Malan made his BBL debut this season and batted brilliantly in the last match scoring a half-century.

Skipper Handscomb has entirely been out of form this season and has not performed even in a single match. Colin Ingram and Tim David have been scoring runs in the lower middle-order and providing a decent finish for the Hurricanes in every game.

Riley Meredith has been bowling well and consistently picking up wickets. Scott Boland and Nathan Ellis have been picking up wickets consistently in the past few matches, and the bowling has been performing very well right from the start of the season.

Hurricanes have been performing well this season and have appeared to be one of the strongest sides so far this season.

Pitch Report

Average 1st innings score: 163

Average 2nd innings score: 150

( The average score is based on six completed games at this venue so far in this season)

The Bellerive Oval pitch was a batting paradise last year and will be no different this year. As it is the start of summer in Australia, the pitches are expected to be flat. The pitch has nothing for the bowlers, but the pacers can still use their variations and be vital in the death overs.

Four out of the six matches have been won by the team batting first.

Weather Forecast

The weather will be partly cloudy, but there is no chance of rain during the match.
