The West Indies are 2-0 up in the series and making a statement to all the other teams out there ahead of the T20 World Cup this year. Finally, their middle-order is back in form and delivered some outstanding performance in the last game.
Batting first, Lendl Simmons batted very well and scored 30 runs in the last game. He got starts in both the games but is yet to convert them into a big score. The Aussies need to regroup themselves quickly after losing two back-to-back games in this series. Mitchell Starc’s form might be a huge concern for the team as he is wicketless so far in this series and proved to be very expensive. Ashton Agar and Mitch Marsh bowled decently in the last game and picked up a wicket each. Hazlewood also picked up a wicket in the last game but was also a bit expensive.
Their middle order again failed badly and was bundled out for just 140 runs. Mitchell Marsh is looking in good touch and has scored two half-centuries so far in this series. The absence of Glenn Maxwell is clearly hurting the team lower down the order but have to manage with whatever resources they have.
The Aussies will look to back their young players going into this series and hope that their middle-order delivers in this game and make a comeback in this series.
